VITA


Patrick Paul Christle was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 14, 1948. He graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne. In 1968 he was drafted and served two years in the United States Marine Corps. For many years he worked in the health care field, primarily in Seattle, Washington. In 1988 he graduated from Quincy College in Quincy, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. He received the Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1993. He continued on to pursue the Doctor of Philosophy degree in English, which was awarded to him in August 2001.
